At the National Student Leadership Conference 10 Global NetGeneration of Youth Scholars were given the opportunity to apply what they have learned through the 2008-2009 academic year working with NASA and NGY.

They all met at American University and took courses in either the Mass Communications or International Diplomacy programs offered by NSLC.

The outcome cannot be presented in the boundaries of this website.

Students created deep bonds with their peers who came from all over the United States, China and Canada. They took courses in investigative journalism, public relations and participated in trade simulations and leadership workshops.

$30,000 was raised in order to sponsor the 10 Global NGY Scholars, giving them the rare opportunity to experience college life and develop as leaders using up-to-date technology which was taught by American University professors.

Living in dorm rooms, eating scrumptious cafeteria meals and taking daily trips at national landmarks in the greater Washington D.C. area, these 10 Global NetGeneration of Youth Scholars were impacted tremendously by their experience.

As each of them return to their schools in California, Conneticut and Canada, they bring a new understanding of leadership and an obligation to serve their communities as Global NGY Ambassadors. The message is this: we can create change and understanding among our different communities if we work in synergy and collaborate.
